1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
3 bay leaves

Add the soaked and rinsed black beans to a slow cooker.
Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Toss in the bay leaves.
Cover with water, filling until the beans are submerged with about 2 inches of water above them.
Set the slow cooker to its lowest setting. Cook on low all night if planning to serve at lunchtime or all day if needed for dinner.
